📚 Battle of the Bluebonnets! 🌟

Our Bluebonnet team represented AME well in the District’s 15th Annual Battle of the Bluebonnets!

All 35 Round Rock ISD elementary schools participated in this exciting event, where teams answered questions based on 20 Bluebonnet books, a true celebration of reading, teamwork, and perseverance.

Please join us in celebrating our incredible competitors:

⭐ Tiam
⭐ Michael
⭐ Ruby
⭐ Olivia — our impressive 3-year veteran competitor!

Students were challenged to answer 30 questions in just 30 minutes, testing their memory, teamwork, and knowledge of this year’s books. Our team rose to the occasion and correctly answered 21 out of 30 questions, an impressive accomplishment!

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, preparation, and love of reading these students demonstrated while representing AME. 📖✨

Round Rock ISD Students Recognized by National Math Stars Program

January 11, 2026

Round Rock ISD students are receiving national recognition for exceptional mathematical ability through programs offered by National Math Stars (NMS), a nonprofit that supports mathematically extraordinary students beginning in elementary school, which partners with our district.

Michelle Moak, Gifted and Advanced Academic Services Coordinator for Round Rock ISD said these recognitions reflect Round Rock ISD’s commitment to identifying and nurturing mathematical talent across our community.

“National Math Stars recognition places our students among the top math learners in the country, and it opens doors to advanced learning opportunities, years-long mentorship, substantial financial support and national networks. This helps to ensure our students have access to pathways that help them thrive,” said Moak.

Of the selected students, two were named 2025 National Math Stars. Yeva W, from Great Oaks Elementary School, and Fawzaan K. H. Y., from Anderson Mill Elementary School, were selected for the 2025 National Math Stars-Voyager Star program. The National Math Stars core program provides each student with more than $100,000 in mentorship, enrichment opportunities, and other resources over 10 years or until high school graduation. This support includes personalized math mentoring, enrichment opportunities, advanced coursework pathways, and STEM-focused summer camps.

In addition to our Voyager stars, several Round Rock ISD students were recognized through the National Math Stars’ Pathfinder program, which identifies students with demonstrated math potential and connects families with resources to support advanced learning pathways.

Our Pathfinder Stars include:

Aayra B, Caldwell Heights Elementary School

Arthur G, Purple Sage Elementary School

George J, Elsa England Elementary School

Joshua A, Great Oaks Elementary School

Katherine W, Elsa England Elementary School

Lucas J, Patsy Sommer Elementary School

Manyavi S, Kathy Caraway Elementary School

Nandan K, Cactus Ranch Elementary School

Pratham B, Kathy Caraway Elementary School

Sam G, Deep Wood Elementary School

Sriram C. V, Teravista Elementary School

Elliot C, Kathy Caraway Elementary School

Ethan C. Cactus Ranch Elementary School

Round Rock ISD offers its congratulations to all of these young participants.

4th Grade Legends Alive Living Museum

Our 4th graders truly brought history to life at their Legends Alive Living Museum: ¡Museo Viviente Leyendas Vivas Showcase! Museum visitors were able to walk through the outdoor “museum” and meet artist, politicians, leaders, global change-makers, educators and much more face-to-face. Our 4th grade students were so excited to share their learning in a fun, lively, and meaningful way and we could not be more proud of them! Way to go 4th grade scholars!
